Why Hire Our Greensboro Criminal Defense Lawyers?
We Stand Against Injustice
You stand at a crossroads, friend. Finding yourself facing a sea of criminal lawyers in Greensboro, each promising to be a beacon of hope in your darkest hours but leaving you to navigate the storm alone. It’s a weighty decision. On one hand, you need an attorney whose trust is verifiable, one versed in the rhythms of the courtroom, skilled in the art of negotiation, and fierce in trial tactics when the hour demands it. On the other, costs looms large, a barrier that could eclipse justice for you and your loved ones. We at our Firm have walked this path with countless others. We understand the turmoil it brings. With more than three decades to our story, we’ve forged a legacy of excellence, unyielding integrity, and heartfelt service. Our calling here in Greensboro is clear: to safeguard the rights of those in Guilford, Randolph, and Alamance Counties, standing against the tides of injustice.

Mr. Fradin met with me fast, and remembered my case, despite it being close to a decade ago. He counseled me and after retaining the firm.. paired me with an Attorney that was best suited to handle my DMV hearing. I then met Mr. Patrick Apple, a confident attorney with a strong background in cases that require strong planning skills and methodologies that can be very challenging.
Mr. Apple took a big leap to fill the shoes of Mr. Dummit after his passing. DMV hearings are meticulous and require a lot of paper work, and that’s just how I would describe Attorney Apple. He was very familiar with the hearing office and officer, as well as extremely thorough throughout the process.
Michael and Patrick asked me to entrust the firm to get me through this situation and though it was stressful at points, we prevailed in the end. Mr. Apple prepared himself and I for all eventualities, making the hearing quick and painless. Thanks for all the hard work! I strongly appreciate it!
But don’t mistake his friendliness for lack of professionalism. Patrick clearly knows his stuff. He was thoughtful, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful in walking me through my concerns. He listened carefully, answered my questions clearly, and helped me sort through my thoughts and options in a way that felt supportive and empowering, not intimidating. These situations no matter how big or small, can cause such anxiety and I feel like Patrick was just an absolute life saver.
I left our meeting feeling not only more confident in my next steps, but also truly cared for as a person — not just a client.
Huge thank you to Patrick and the entire team at Dummit Fradlin Law Firm. I will absolutely be coming back to this firm for any future legal needs and would recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy, down-to-earth, and highly competent legal support.

MEET OUR AWARD-WINNING CRIMINAL DEFENSE ATTORNEYS
FROM GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA
We’re Experienced and Skilled
Our roots trace back to 1990, when our Founder first took up the mantle of defending Triad residents caught up in charges stemming from life’s swerves, like DWI offenses that upend entire futures in a single night. As the years unfolded, he gathered Partners around him, broadening our gaze to encompass the dangerous turns of Careless and Reckless Driving, the everyday entanglements of Traffic Infractions, and Ignition Interlock Violations those silent thieves of freedom on the road. We delved deeper into solving issues stemming from human conflict with Assault and Violent Crime cases where tempers flare and lives fracture, and into helping those accused of Larceny where desperation meets consequence. Expungements became a beacon for renewal, wiping slates clean to allow second chances in a world quick to judge. By the 2010s, our Firm had blossomed into a comprehensive haven of Criminal Defense, embracing an even wider array of practice areas tailored to the evolving needs of our community, from the procedural mazes of criminal proceedings to the restorative paths of record clearing and beyond.

The Guilford County Criminal Justice System & Court Information
There are two Courthouses in Guilford County, which is unusual. Most counties only have one. From the old Guilford County, however, split off Rockingham County, and then Randolph County. High Point and the surrounding areas, like Jamestown, wanted to do something similar, and split off to form Piedmont County with High Point as the County Seat. Fearing the dilution of Guilford County’s political power, the measure was defeated, but the Courthouse remains. Today, the High Point Courthouse handles about one-third of the cases in Guilford County and saves the Court Officers from having to drive across the County to address issues arising in the various cities. You can find which Courthouse your case is scheduled to be heard in on your ticket, by speaking with the Clerk of Court, or by accessing the eCourt system here.
Greensboro Courthouse: 201 S. Eugene Street
High Point Courthouse: 505 East Green Drive
There are multiple ways to pay and multiple types of fees you can pay through the Court in Greensboro. You can pay with a certified check or money order by mail (if eligible). These should be made payable to the Guilford County Clerk of Superior Court, and mailed to: Clerk of Superior Court, Guilford County Courthouse, PO Box 3008, Greensboro, NC 27402-3008. Cash and personal checks are not accepted. Don’t forget to include your citation number with your payment. If you need to pay with cash, go to the Clerk of Superior Court’s Office on the first floor of the Greensboro Courthouse on South Eugene Street. Personal checks are still not accepted. You can also pay with a Visa, American Express, MasterCard, or Discover. This can be done either online or in person. However, there is a 2.39% processing fee with all card transactions.
